A fruit salad is a healthy, vibrant, delicious and refreshing dish made by mixing a variety of fresh, juicy fruits. This salad is quick to prepare, packed with nutrients and easy to digest. Fruits salad are perfect for the warmer weather and as a healthy breakfast, snack or dessert.
Ingredients
2 bananas
2 mangoes
1 papaya
2 to 3 chikoo
1/3 cup chopped strawberries
1/3 cup pomegranate arils
3 to 4 figs
2 tablespoons chopped cashews
2 tablespoons chopped pistachios
2 tablespoons almonds
5 to 6 mint leaves
1 tablespoon honey
Instructions
- Remove the arils of pomegranate first and keep aside.
- Chop nuts- 10 to 12 cashews, 10 to 12 almonds, 10 to 12 pistachios or any nut of your choice. (For better taste lightly roast nuts before chopping them)
- Rinse the fruits thoroughly- 1 small papaya, 2 to 3 chikoo (sapota), 2 mangoes, 10 to 12 strawberries and 4 figs.
- Peel and chop all the fruits.
- Add the chopped fruits to a mixing bowl.
- Add the pomegranate arils.
- Now, add the chopped nuts like almonds, cashews, pistachios and walnuts.
- Add honey, if you want. (You can also use date syrup, maple syrup, palm sugar or maple syrup)
- You can also add lemon juice or orange juice if you like for tangy citrus flavors in a salad.
- Gently mix the fruits very well.
- Serve fruit salad immediately. Garnish with mint leaves or few nuts. Enjoy!
